A focus on leadership is transforming the climate at Pauline-Glenn Springs, and now the school is celebrating that success. During a special program in May Principal Jennifer Million announced to students that their work as young leaders has certainly paid off.   PGS has been officially named a "Lighthouse" school, a leader recognition status based on The Leader in Me program by Franklin Covey. There are less than 50 Lighthouse schools in the country. Two years ago, PGS implemented The Leader in Me program, by incorporating the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People into every aspect of their school day. The entire faculty, staff, students and administrators were taught how these habits could could change the school climate and prepare students with the necessary tools to become successful. Those seven habits are: Be proactive, Begin with the end in mind, put first things first, think win-win, seek first to understand, then to be understood, synergize, and sharpen the saw.
