DHS Head Football Coach Hits 300th win!

Coach Dave Gutshall Celebrates a Record 300th Win!

With Friday nights win over Mauldin, 14-12, Dorman High School head football coach David Gutshall improved his career head coaching record to 300 wins. Everyone was on the edge of their seats as the two teams went head to head. The game ended with a victory for the Dorman Cavaliers and a record win for Coach Gutshall, who has been a head coach for 31 and a half years. This is Coach Gutshall's 17th season at the helm of the Cavaliers.  He has an overall record of 160-62 at Dorman.  The Cavaliers are currently ranked third in the class AAAA state sportswriter's poll. Coach Gutshall has received many recognitions in his career including being named Region Coach of the year twelve times, 5th All-Time Winningest SC Prep Football Coach, 2nd Winningest Active SC Coach, and most recently 2008 SC High School Football Coach of the Year from the SC Football Coaches Association. Congratulations to Coach Gutshall for the hard work and dedication you have shown over the years.
