Woodland Heights Wins Two Major Awards

Woodland Heights Elementary School will never forget March 23, 2010. On this day the school received two major state awards.  WHES Principal Dr. Cynthia Pridgen, staff members and district office administrators traveled to Columbia Tuesday for the exciting announcements.  First, WHES was named National Distinguished Title 1 School for South Carolina for its work in closing the achievement gap, #1 out of 514 schools. Then later that evening they were named Carolina First Palmetto's Finest elementary school in the state. Congratulations to WHES faculty, staff, students, parents and community members for all of your hard work and support.
