Free Pizza for a Year!

Two Spartanburg School District Six teachers are the recipients of The Papa John's Teacher Appreciation Awards. Fairforest Elementary first-grade teacher Louise Gwinn and Fairforest Middle School ELA teacher Katherine Malone were presented with plaques and a free classroom pizza party, on behalf of Papa John's. Students from across the Upstate and Western North Carolina wrote essays about how a particular teacher had impacted their lives. Out of thousands of essays, two out of only three winners were from District Six. Makayla Hutzell wrote about Louise Gwinn's patience with her and the time she spent preparing her for second grade. Paul Levchenko wrote about how Katherine Malone taught him to have respect for himself and others.
