Dorman Receives National College & Career Readiness Award

Dorman High School has been selected as a leader in preparing students to be college and career ready by the ACT College and Career Readiness Campaign. Dorman High School has been selected for the following awards;

·South Carolina College and Career Transition Award
·South Carolina College and Career Readiness Exemplar School
·One of Four National Semifinalist for ACT National College and Career Readiness Campaign

Dorman High School will be recognized at the National ACT Gala on College and Career Readiness in Washington D.C. on June 9th. The other three semifinalist schools were in Wisconsin, Utah, and Kansas, and I have attached a copy of the ACT College and Career Readiness Campaign press release for you. This is very special recognition because it is a reflection of the shared vision and support of our School District Board of Trustees, Superintendent Dr. Darryl Owings, district leadership, advisory boards, and community. Our Cavalier Family has been committed to this vision for many years, and Dorman High School has been blessed to recently add our College & Career Center facilities around the climate that we have created. This well deserved special recognition is for every educator and staff member in our district, and I would like to thank you for preparing students for the future of their choice as we celebrate this outstanding recognition together!

Sincerely,

Ken Kiser, DHS Principal
