Palmetto Gold and Silver Winners

Four District Six schools have earned recognition for academic achievement and/ or closing the achievement gaps in 2010. The Palmetto Gold and Palmetto Silver awards program was created by the South Carolina General Assembly to recognize schools that attained high levels of absolute performance, high rates of growth and substantial progress in closing achievement gaps between groups of students. Arcadia Elementary, West View Elementary and Anderson Mill Elementary were all awarded the Palmetto Silver Award for closing the achievement gap. Those same schools were also awarded the Palmetto Gold Award for high levels of general performance. Roebuck Elementary received the Palmetto Silver Award for high levels of performance. Congratulations to these schools for this excellent accomplishment.
