District Six Teacher of the Year

Spartanburg County School District Six is proud to announce that Jayna Lehrer has been named “District Six Teacher of the Year.”  Entering into her eighth year of teaching at Anderson Mill Elementary School, Jayna was chosen among a select group of educators in the district. Jayna recently learned of her new title during the District Six Back-to-School program. As a kindergarten teacher, she says “It is my goal to give every child who walks through my classroom the greatest learning experience to help set the tone for their educational career.” Jayna is originally from Pennsylvania and moved with her family to Spartanburg at the age of twelve. She is a Dorman High School graduate and received a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina.
